Just Dumb Enough Podcast
Being “Just Dumb Enough” is all about being okay with yourself, and the situation you find yourself in, after you bring up a topic in front of a real expert. My name is Colton Petry, I am the Host of the Just Dumb Enough Podcast, and I‘m your professional idiot. The premise of the show is exposing the general listening audience to topics, careers, experiences, or lifestyles they may otherwise know very little about.

Self-Identity with Urmi Hossain
Thursday Sep 22, 2022
Thursday Sep 22, 2022
Who am I? That's a question that can plague nearly anyone on the planet. You know your name, where you come from, and what you do day to day. But have you done an inventory of your history and life experiences to see what made you?
My guest today is Urmi Hossain. Urmi currently works as in the financial services industry of Canada. But before that she was just a Bengali girl growing up in Italy and wondering which cultural norms she was supposed to be emulating. What things were true to her? And what things were just expected? It was a journey through life which took her several decades and moving across the world to figure out. She's written a book and now speaks publicly on the importance of discovering who you are for your own sake. It's something any of us should take the time to at least think about, even if you think your the most vanilla person in the world. Vanilla is still it's own flavor no matter what mint chocolate chip might say.
Please take a brief moment to rate the show five stars on iTunes, Spotify, or Audible. The only way to help this show grow is to get new reviews and new listeners, and you can do your part by telling other people that you enjoy the podcast.I'm always looking for new topics, guest ideas, and questions from the audience. To reach out to me email DumbEnoughPodcast@Gmail.Com or send a message on any of the show pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or wherever else.
I'll see you all either Sunday night for the 7pm (Pacific Time) live stream on Podbean, or Monday when the next episode goes up. We'll be celebrating one year of being Just Dumb Enough on the airwaves! I can't wait!

Lock Picking/Smithing with Chad Amodeo
Thursday Sep 15, 2022
Thursday Sep 15, 2022
Do you feel safe with the security you currently have on your home? Do you want to keep that feeling? If so you may not want to listen to my expert break down just how easy it is to break into your house from his time as a legal burglar.
My guest today is friend of the show and of myself, Chad Amodeo. Chad spent several years as a burglar for hire, or as the layman call it, a locksmith. He puts on display that you don't have to put in decades to know your craft, and serves as a beacon for any other listeners who might want to come on the show, but don't feel super confident about their experience level.
Chad also deserves a round of applause, because after hearing that I had multiple guests cancel or no show last minute and seeing how stressed I was about not having an episode ready, he volunteered despite it being after a long work day and late at night.
We also recorded on an older mic in my dining room instead of in a proper studio space, sorry the audio quality is a little lower this episode, but at least there is an episode.
Lastly, although I bring it up later on, the one year anniversary of this show being launched is coming up at the end of the month, so I'm prepping a big episode where I talk about all the successes, hardships, and answer audience questions. Send any questions you might have ever wanted to ask to DumbEnoughPodcast@Gmail.Com
Seriously listeners, don't do crimes!
Please take a brief moment to rate the show five stars on iTunes, Spotify, or Audible. It seriously helps so much. Also if you have not already, please tell someone you know to listen to this show. Word of mouth from listeners gets more people to listen than any other form of promotion I can ever pay for even if I could afford to pay for advertising.I'm always looking for new topics, guest ideas, and questions from the audience. Commodity Markets with Noah Healy
Monday Sep 05, 2022
Monday Sep 05, 2022
Can you imagine having a car that's 300,000 times more efficient than your current one? To give you a hard number, it like 20mpg vs 240 times around the earth per gallon... While we are nowhere near that with cars, that is exactly the efficiency difference that my guest today has created when he designed a new system to streamline the commodities market. Don't worry if that all sounds over your head, it was way over mine and you can laugh at me for how many times I was wrong throughout this interview.
My guest today is Noah Healy. Noah refers to himself as a recreational mathematician, which instantly makes him way more intelligent than me. He is also a marketplace design consultant and has developed exactly that new system I referenced at the very start. Usually I do a bit more breakdown into guest background and history, I stopped trying to understand all his qualifications after I saw nuclear science as an "early life" degree.Frankly Noah is so smart that I wouldn't blame anyone for being lost. We do try to explain everything simpler after each big section, so bear with me.

August ended exactly the way I read it last time, so no need to repeat it.September Official Top Countries (so far):1. United States, with top states Nevada and California.2. United Kingdom still above others by a wide margin.3. Sweden, with top... area? Dalarna.4. Australia, with Victoria losing the lead spot to the unknown Australian demographic.5. Egypt! Welcome to the top 5!
Also Canada off of the top 5 for I think the first time in a very long time.

Repairing Love and Marriage with Lane Stokes
Monday Aug 29, 2022
Monday Aug 29, 2022
We've all heard the statistic that 50% of all marriages end in divorce. But do they have to? What if all those people could rediscover what made their relationship special to start with?
My guest today is Lane Stokes. Lane has been a practicing marriage counselor for nearly four decades. After seeing person-centered psychotherapy fail to respond and resolve issue fast enough, he elected to build an alternative that hones in on the processes that make people fall in love on a chemical level. Understanding that showed him how to help people fall back in love even after the chemicals that brought them together were long gone. Today he shares some of that to help the listeners reconnect with their loved ones and strengthen their bonds.Lane's phone vibrates a couple times throughout the interview, pretty close to the mic, so don't be too surprised.
In case you missed it last week, I'm inviting any listeners who really know or care a lot about something come on the show! Just send me an email: DumbEnoughPodcast@Gmail.Com or on any of the social pages. It can be about anything at all!
