Being “Just Dumb Enough” is all about being okay with yourself, and the situation you find yourself in, after you bring up a topic in front of a real expert. My name is Colton Petry, I am the Host of the Just Dumb Enough Podcast, and I‘m your professional idiot. The premise of the show is exposing the general listening audience to topics, careers, experiences, or lifestyles they may otherwise know very little about.

Japan 2025 Tour Announcement
Hey hey everyone!
It's your favorite professional idiot, Colton Petry.
I'm just dropping a little surprise announcement that I will be touring in Japan in May of 2025.
And some might ask, why Japan? Why not Magunka county?
The answer to that is two fold. Number one, I've always wanted to visit Japan to tour the shrines and temples. Number two, I guess they just care to see me more than you do... or are at least more verbal about it. Hint hint!
So for all of the listeners in Japan: come and hang out with me when I come through your area!
Tokyo - May 18th to 22nd
Nikko - May 23rd and 24th
Kyoto - May 25th to 28th
Osaka - May 29th and 30th
Okinawa - May 31st to June 3rd
I look forward to meeting all of you, and cannot wait to have an absolute blast in the land of the rising sun.
More tour dates to follow as I know Austin Texas and Atlanta Georgia have trips in the works!
If you're not in any of those places, shoot me an email or message on social media, and we'll see about having me drop by!
Stay dumb everyone!

The Business of Relationships with Tom Hagerty
Tuesday Apr 15, 2025
Tuesday Apr 15, 2025
Taking quotes out of context is a favorite pastime from both news agencies and trolls worldwide. I think one of my out of context quotes went: "You're going to be punished for having a moment of space to breathe." And while that's hard to decipher, truly inspiring quotes are much better.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Tom Hagerty. Tom spent most of his life as a corporate executive, avid quote collector, and frequent quote user; much to his children's dismay. He's compiled a book of quotes and essays from a boatload of historical icons, all of whom had spectacular success in their field; even if they weren't always widely loved. He's here today to show us how these quote apply to both: Professional business, and your personal relationships.
( Www.TheTomHagerty.Com ) ( https://a.co/d/7QJz1Gl will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "The Business of Relationships: Using the Wisdom of Great Executives to Create Thriving Personal Connections" ) ( https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-business-of-relationships-tom-hagerty/1144202518?ean=9798887935546 )
Let's get out of context.
And the thing this host would love for you to do is please leave a good review on Apple or Spotify.
In ranking news... April is halfway over, and the rankings are stabilizing:
1. The United States, with California, Oregon, and Illinois now at the front. 2. England of the United Kingdom. 3. Australia, with Victoria now leading New South Wales. 4. Canada, with Ontario still on top. 5. Hong Kong, booting out New Zealand and Israel.
That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here next week for another new episode! Justice for All? with James Porfido
Wednesday Apr 09, 2025
Wednesday Apr 09, 2025
Innocent until proven guilty is the backbone of our legal system, and yet, we don't actually operate that way anymore. People now are brought to trial and assumed guilty until absolute proof of innocence is given.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is James Porfido (Esq). James was a prominent prosecutor with decades of experience serving the state of New Jersey to defend it's citizens. Then, everything revealed it's ugly nature to an extent that could no longer be ignored. James became a criminal defense attorney and worked to represent those who found themselves wrongly accused and without proper representation. While you would think that both sides are working for the greater good, James was abandoned by many and chastised by more. Join us as he explains the true inequality of the justice system, and what you can do to prevent yourself from being another wrongfully convicted statistic.( Www.Unequal-Justice.Com ) ( Www.PorfidoLaw.Com ) ( https://a.co/d/aI5T8ji will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "UNEQUAL JUSTICE: The Search for Truth to Balance the Scales" ) ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyPqvYv87NM&ab_channel=REMSCAPE will take you to: Www.YouTube.Com "Every 15 Minutes | Madison High School" )
Let's ask for our lawyers before talking to anyone.
I could have easily spent all day talking to James about those major trials of: Casey Anthony, the Menendez Brothers, OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson, Harvey Weinstein, and Scott Peterson.
In other news... April is rolling on, and the rankings are more regular:
1. The United States, with Oregon, Washington, and California now at the front. #WestCoastBestCoast 2. England of the United Kingdom. 3. Australia, with Queensland and Victoria all tied up. 4. Canada, with Ontario still on top. 5. New Zealand, back after some time away.
I always love seeing the list swings and changes as the show grows.

Water Heaters and Beyond with Larry Weingarten
Wednesday Apr 02, 2025
Wednesday Apr 02, 2025
No matter where you live in the world, you heat water through some method. And some countries like Canada are ahead of even the US, much to my surprise. But the real kicker is finding out how wrong I could have been in picking my next one.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is a self proclaimed energy nerd, Larry Weingarten. We all have water heaters in our homes, and yet 99.9% of us probably know little to nothing about ours, despite the fact they can explode! Now that's rare, but it has your attention, huh? Over the interview, Larry will teach us all the things we need to know, which could help your health, energy usage, bank account, and so much more.
( Www.LarryWeingarten.Com ) ( Www.HeatingHelp.Com ) ( https://a.co/d/9YgZNxm will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "The Philosopher's Wrench: Using Your Creativity, Heart & Tools to Fix the World" ) ( https://a.co/d/a2ouJyD will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "The Water Heater Workbook: A Hands-On Guide to Water Heaters" )
Let's get cool with hot water.
I don't know about all of you, but this has me rethinking a huge amount of what I would put into a dream house; if I could afford to build it.
In other news... April is here, and the rankings are all over the place:
1. The United States, with Oregon, New York, and Virginia now at the front. 2. Canada, with Ontario as king. 3. Israel, which is new. 4. South Africa, almost certainly thanks to Irma bashing it last week. 5. Australia, with Queensland just leading Western Australia.
That'll probably level out next week, but still pretty cool!
That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here next week for another new episode! Until the next episode, pretty please do all the things to help the show: rate, review, like, and subscribe. Immigration Problems with Irma Goosen
Tuesday Mar 25, 2025
Tuesday Mar 25, 2025
It seems that, in this day and age, Immigrating to another country is not all that uncommon. But with all the well known causes and issues, it's startling to actually hear them from someone who has experienced the inefficiency of our system.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Irma Goosen. She was born and raised in South Africa, came to the United States, and eventually settled in Canada; but the reasons and timeline of these changes will likely shock you as much as they did me, which is to say: A fraction of how bad they were for Irma. She also coaches for TEDx and gives speeches on the benefits of legal immigration for both people and companies. And if you live in a privileged country, this interview will definitely leave you feeling grateful for every small and large convenience we have.
( Www.IrmaGoosen.Com ) ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/irma-goosen/?originalSubdomain=ca )
Let's see if it's worth moving.
So what would you have to see or experience to make you want to leave your country?
In other news... March is pretty much over, and here the rankings are regulating:
1. England of the United Kingdom.2. Hong Kong, who dropped a spot after i asked why I was popular. Was I not suppose to ask? 3. The United States, with California, Illinois, and Washington now at the top. 4. Australia, with Victoria now leading Queensland and Western Australia. 5. Canada, with Ontario still keeping them just above Israel.
That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here next week for another new episode! Civil Rights Icon (Marian Anderson) with Emile J Henwood III
Thursday Mar 20, 2025
Thursday Mar 20, 2025
Most people want to change the world for the better, and I would assume nearly all of those want to be remembered for the good work they did in life. However, our subject today actually did a lot of her most notable work followed by the statement "Don't tell anyone."
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Emile Joe Henwood III. Joe, as he likes to be called, has done the most exhaustive studies on one of our truly great civil rights leaders who has been lost to time. Marian Anderson was an African American singer, who inspired major names like Jackie Robinson and Martin Luther King Jr (MLK) before they ever approached their famous days. So why do so few people even know her name? ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_Anderson ) ( Www.WhyWeLoveMarian.Com ) ( https://a.co/d/9Ehbqge will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "Remembering a Great American Hero Marian Anderson" )
Let's inspire those to follow!
And having talked about a unifier of such legendary proportions, I just want us all to come together. I don't care who you voted for, because at the end of the day I want us all to succeed. I keep hearing people screaming across both sides at how the other is stupid or failing, but there is no forward momentum in that. We should all want each other to succeed for the betterment of humankind.
In other news... March is halfway over, and here the rankings are still strange:
1. Hong Kong. Can someone in Hong Kong tell me why the sudden spike in popularity? 2. England of the United Kingdom. 3. The United States, with California, Missouri, and Washington at the top. 4. Australia, with Western Australia still at a small lead. 5. Canada, with Ontario keeping them above Israel, who is now right behind them.
That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here next week for another new episode! Thursday Mar 13, 2025
Thursday Mar 13, 2025
A study shows over 65% of people have bosses that make the work environment worse, and you'll soon hear that we advocate over 1/3 of those people should straight up quit their job. Swearing ahead.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Rob Kalwarowsky. Rob is the go to when your workplace sucks. His upcoming book "Antidote for the Asshole Boss" is a great resource for all of you out there who need to either reform your job environment or quit. And obviously, neither Rob nor I know your situation well enough to truly advise you; but maybe this is the push you need if you're on the edge and considering other options. Also, sorry this episode is late, but I had a family emergency; and family will always take precedent over my release window.

Let's figure out how much our boss is killing us.
So, are you one of those people suffering with an asshole boss? Or are you perhaps your own asshole boss? Either way, I hope you find your way to a better work/life balance.
In other news... March is rolling on, and here the rankings are strange:
1. Hong Kong... Huh, Neat. 2. England of the United Kingdom. 3. The United States, with Missouri, Washington, and Georgia at the top. 4. Australia, with Western Australia at a lead. 5. Canada, almost being beaten by Myanmar and Turkey.
That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here next week for another new episode!
