Just Dumb Enough Podcast
Being “Just Dumb Enough” is all about being okay with yourself, and the situation you find yourself in, after you bring up a topic in front of a real expert. My name is Colton Petry, I am the Host of the Just Dumb Enough Podcast, and I‘m your professional idiot. Immigration Problems with Irma Goosen

It seems that, in this day and age, Immigrating to another country is not all that uncommon. But with all the well known causes and issues, it's startling to actually hear them from someone who has experienced the inefficiency of our system.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Irma Goosen. She was born and raised in South Africa, came to the United States, and eventually settled in Canada; but the reasons and timeline of these changes will likely shock you as much as they did me, which is to say: A fraction of how bad they were for Irma. She also coaches for TEDx and gives speeches on the benefits of legal immigration for both people and companies. And if you live in a privileged country, this interview will definitely leave you feeling grateful for every small and large convenience we have.
( Www.IrmaGoosen.Com ) ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/irma-goosen/?originalSubdomain=ca )
Let's see if it's worth moving.
So what would you have to see or experience to make you want to leave your country?
In other news... March is pretty much over, and here the rankings are regulating:
1. England of the United Kingdom.2. Hong Kong, who dropped a spot after i asked why I was popular. Was I not suppose to ask? 3. The United States, with California, Illinois, and Washington now at the top. 4. Australia, with Victoria now leading Queensland and Western Australia. 5. Canada, with Ontario still keeping them just above Israel.
That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here next week for another new episode! Civil Rights Icon (Marian Anderson) with Emile J Henwood III
Thursday Mar 20, 2025
Thursday Mar 20, 2025
Most people want to change the world for the better, and I would assume nearly all of those want to be remembered for the good work they did in life. However, our subject today actually did a lot of her most notable work followed by the statement "Don't tell anyone."
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Emile Joe Henwood III. Joe, as he likes to be called, has done the most exhaustive studies on one of our truly great civil rights leaders who has been lost to time. Marian Anderson was an African American singer, who inspired major names like Jackie Robinson and Martin Luther King Jr (MLK) before they ever approached their famous days. So why do so few people even know her name? ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_Anderson ) ( Www.WhyWeLoveMarian.Com ) ( https://a.co/d/9Ehbqge will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "Remembering a Great American Hero Marian Anderson" )
Let's inspire those to follow!
And having talked about a unifier of such legendary proportions, I just want us all to come together. I don't care who you voted for, because at the end of the day I want us all to succeed. I keep hearing people screaming across both sides at how the other is stupid or failing, but there is no forward momentum in that. We should all want each other to succeed for the betterment of humankind.
In other news... March is halfway over, and here the rankings are still strange:
1. Hong Kong. Can someone in Hong Kong tell me why the sudden spike in popularity? 2. England of the United Kingdom. 3. The United States, with California, Missouri, and Washington at the top. 4. Australia, with Western Australia still at a small lead. 5. Canada, with Ontario keeping them above Israel, who is now right behind them.
That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here next week for another new episode! Deadly Bosses with Rob Kalwarowsky
Thursday Mar 13, 2025
Thursday Mar 13, 2025
A study shows over 65% of people have bosses that make the work environment worse, and you'll soon hear that we advocate over 1/3 of those people should straight up quit their job. Swearing ahead.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Rob Kalwarowsky. Rob is the go to when your workplace sucks. His upcoming book "Antidote for the Asshole Boss" is a great resource for all of you out there who need to either reform your job environment or quit. And obviously, neither Rob nor I know your situation well enough to truly advise you; but maybe this is the push you need if you're on the edge and considering other options. Also, sorry this episode is late, but I had a family emergency; and family will always take precedent over my release window.

So, are you one of those people suffering with an asshole boss? Or are you perhaps your own asshole boss? Either way, I hope you find your way to a better work/life balance.
In other news... March is rolling on, and here the rankings are strange:
1. Hong Kong... Huh, Neat. 2. England of the United Kingdom. 3. The United States, with Missouri, Washington, and Georgia at the top. 4. Australia, with Western Australia at a lead. 5. Canada, almost being beaten by Myanmar and Turkey.

Quantum Waves with Angela Longo
Wednesday Feb 26, 2025
Wednesday Feb 26, 2025
This is one of those topics that most gloss over because the word "quantum" makes it sound science heavy and intimidating, but in reality we cover the entire basics in about 20 minutes.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Doctor Angela Longo. This PhD knows biochemistry inside and out, but when she found herself on death's door: She reached to find a new skillset. That learning brought her to our topic today, and the focus of her new life: Quantum Waves. We'll learn what they are, the possible uses, and how we might have been overlooking some simple things that have always been within us.
( Www.MagicMind.Com/Dumb20 ) ( Www.AngelaLongo.Com ) ( https://a.co/d/dmJ868o will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "QUANTUM WAVE GUIDED LIVING: Exchange My Patterns, Changes Everything" )
Let's find our triplets?
This is one of those sciences that I certainly don't have enough knowledge or experience to speak on, but perhaps some members of the audience can shed a little light with their own experiences? I find it hard to believe that we can cure cancers with invisible waves, but I also didn't know the role of glucose until I spoke with Dr Poothulil back in the early episodes.
In other news... February is basically over, and here are the rankings:
1. The United States, with California, New York, and Texas at the top. 2. England of the United Kingdom. 3. Australia, with Queensland squeaking out a win! 4. Canada, with Ontario just barely beating British Columbia. 5. New Zealand, holding that top 5 spot with a death grip over Ireland and Ghana.

Trading Energy for Stress with Stephen Sideroff
Tuesday Feb 18, 2025
Tuesday Feb 18, 2025
I was recently told there's no term for a good dream, but we do have the word nightmare. In that same way, a lot of people hear the word stress without knowing there is actually a term for good stress.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Doctor Stephen Sideroff. Stephen has balanced his entire life around helping people find the positive pathway forward, when all you want to do is freeze or run. You'll not only get to learn the term "eustress", you'll even learn how to make it work for you. Think of this like an efficiency tune up: The less energy you waste on being stressed, the more energy you'll have fo literally everything else.
( Www.MagicMind.Com/Dumb20 ) ( Www.DrStephenSideroff.Com ) ( https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-9-pillars-of-resilience-stephen-i-sideroff/1144427350 ) ( https://a.co/d/jllEvvF will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "The 9 Pillars of Resilience: The Proven Path to Master Stress, Slow Aging, and Increase Vitality" )
Let's build some pillars!
Where are you at on the bell curve? Are you stress avoidant? Stress overload? Or are you one of those that knows the sweet spot? I have no problem admitting that I'm still struggling to find my middle ground. I went from all stress, all the time, to let's avoid any stress at all.

Touring Musician with Maya Azucena
Wednesday Feb 05, 2025
Wednesday Feb 05, 2025
One of my biggest points of pride is the fact that my voice has been heard in more countries than I will ever be able to visit. But there are also real performers who get to physically take their voices to places most could never dream of.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Maya Azucena. Maya is a world class recording artist who has toured to over 40 countries, has performed for royalty, world leaders, and at international humanitarian events. She's here sharing her journey, her wisdom, and some genuinely cool stories about what the life of a touring musician is like.

Let's take our voice to far away lands!
If you aren't already pursuing at least one thing that brings you joy, then what are you doing? I cannot recommend personal projects enough, even if I sometimes have too many.
In other news... February has started with the following rankings:
1. The United States, with California, Michigan, and Utah at the top. 2. Canada, with British Columbia at an early lead. 3. England of the United Kingdom. 4. Australia, with the Australian Capital Territory at the head! 5. New Zealand.

Retirement with Rodger Friedman
Tuesday Jan 28, 2025
Tuesday Jan 28, 2025
Retirement seems like everyone's goal, and yet it feels like no one has a solid plan. And moreover, why do we trust ourselves to manage these critical accounts without any education?
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts. My guest today is Rodger Friedman. Rodger has over four decades of experience, with high level positions at some of the largest wealth managers in the world. That's all to say that he's very knowledgeable when it come to finding a clear path to a pain free retirement. This one took a whole lot of editing to even out the audio recording issues we faced, and you might even sporadically hear it get totally clear, but it's far from perfect. I just hope you enjoy it all.
( Www.MagicMind.Com/Dumb20 ) ( Www.EOCritic.Com ) ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/rodger-friedman-crpc%C2%AE-1300903a/ )
Let's plan to quit!
Can you consider yourself retired if you only work on what you love to do? Maybe that's the next goal.
In other news... January is almost over with the following rankings:
1. England of the United Kingdom, winning the top spot! 2. The United States, with California, New York, and Texas still in that order. 3. Australia, with Queensland dominating from start to finish. 4. Canada, with Ontario beating British Columbia to win. 5. Ghana, holding off Ireland.

Historical Fiction with B McGraw
Wednesday Jan 15, 2025
Wednesday Jan 15, 2025
So many people love history, and so many others love fiction; it's no wonder that this Venn diagram overlaps at some point, but I'm almost surprised it's not bigger.
Happy New Years and Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is B McGraw. Roman history nerds rejoice as McGraw writes about the year of the four emperors, 69AD. But here's the deal, historical record only covers so much of the story; so McGraw filled in the gaps with what he thought summed up a humorous emperor's rise to power, then modernized the language so it doesn't read like a boring textbook. In short: He made it up. However, you would actually learn about history if you read his book, making historical fiction a very interesting category.
( Www.MagicMind.Com/Dumb20 ) ( Www.JABDE.Com ) ( https://a.co/d/gQiOywm will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "69: Part 1: The Fake it Till ya Make it Emperor" ) ( https://a.co/d/6WrfpZ1 will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "Et al.: Because not all research deserves a Nobel Prize" )
Let's fake it till we make it!
I want to learn history in basically only this fashion from now on. It very much reminds me of Iconoblast where they were about 90% accurate and 10% nonsense.
In other news... January is looking promising with the following rankings:
1. England of the United Kingdom, holding an unusual top spot. 2. The United States, with California, New York, and Texas still leading. 3. Australia, with Queensland still dominating the others so far. 4. Canada, with Ontario and Quebec neck and neck. 5. Ghana, dethroning Ireland.
